NYCC: X-Men: Destiny announced

This morning, Marvel and Activision have announced a new videogame in the X-Men franchise, X-Men: Destiny. Penned by the acclaimed writer Mike Carey, Destiny will have players taking on the role of new mutant recruits. Activision is claiming that the title will offer a branching storyline and a “deep element of choice.”

Attendees of New York Comic-Con will be getting the first look at the game by visiting Activision’s booth (#1833) while at the show. I am jealous of them.

I always like it when superhero games don’t have you playing as an established character in their universe, so this announcement has me interested in hearing more. The game also has an official website but, as of this writing, it does not seem to be live just yet. Damn this lack of information!
