FC 26 server maintenance details (May 20)

Typically, EA Sports announces when server maintenance will take place. Today’s maintenance began at approximately 1am PT/3am CT/8am UTC. The maintenance is expected to run until 7am PT/9am CT/2pm UTC.

There could be unforeseen delays, but that seems unlikely at the time of writing. We won’t be able to access any of the online modes until the maintenance is over. This affects all modes that feature online matchmaking, which also includes Ultimate Team. If you try to matchmake, you’ll end up with an error. The Web App and Companion App are running as usual, but you can’t play any online matches.

However, you can still play the offline modes when the servers are unavailable. This includes the Career Mode, where you can take your favorite club to glory. You can also step into the shoes of iconic legends and recreate their greatest moments in your own way. The revamped Career Mode has been my favorite pastime whenever there’s maintenance.

Today’s maintenance affects FC 26 across all available platforms, including Nintendo Switch. The maintenance also includes older titles like FC 25 and FC 24 if you’re still enjoying those games. We already know that EA Sports has been planning to nerf the Bruiser playstyle, and this maintenance could be in preparation for that.
