Fallout Online viral advertising moves to religion

Recommended Videos

We’ve seen neither hide nor hair of the actual Fallout Online game save for a few screens that arose from the court battle between Interplay and Bethesda, but we have seen the start of some viral campaigns for the game. And now they’re getting even weirder.

Members of the game’s emailer received an odd little pamphlet tempting them to become members of The Church of Harold. The Church claims that “Unlike other churches out there, we promise nothing. But, unlike others, we back our promises up!” Mighty tempting if you’re living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, I suppose.

I tell you what, Interplay. You give us an actual trailer with gameplay or even a few real screenshots and maybe a launch date for that beta you’ve been having people register for and then I’ll start getting interested in your viral marketing.

[Thanks, Brownjohn]
