E3 10: Donkey Kong Country Returns in screens, video

Recommended Videos

Let me just start by saying Donkey Kong Country 2 is my favorite game of all time. When Nintendo first showed off Donkey Kong Country Returns — an upcoming Retro Studios-developed 2.5D platformer for the Wii — earlier today, I kind of lost it for a second there. I mean, really lost it.

Then, I became kind of worried. Worried like only a fan stuck in the past could be. Now that I’ve had time to let DKCR sink in, though — I’m feeling better. Much, much better. Retro Studios kicks all kinds of ass, as far as I’m concerned, and this game looks super promising.

Plus, it can be a two-player co-op game, if you want. Believe me, I very much want that. Obligatory dibs on Diddy Kong!
