Manic, not Extreme

How to get the Vitality Hoof

In order to get the Granblue Fantasy: Relink Vitality Hoof, you need to farm the mission titled The Saga Continues: Wind at Halewind Altar. The encounter will have you fight the Maniac version of Furycane which is the boss that actually drops the Vitality Hoof. You can continuously farm this mission once you unlock it later in the game.

To unlock the Mania Furycane encounter, you need to complete the Maniac missions available to you, which will eventually unlock the Maniac form of Furycane in The Saga Continues: Wind mission.

It’s important to note that once you start leveling up your weapons to higher levels or are looking to Awaken your Ascension weapon, you will need to farm Vitality Hoof and other crafting materials specifically from Maniac versions of bosses.

Vitality Hoof is not dropping

If the Vitality Hoof is not dropping for you in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, chances are you are fighting the Extreme version of Furycane, not the Maniac version. This does not drop the Vitality Hoof; only Maniac version does. Make sure you are actually on the Maniac version of The Saga Continues: Wind.

The actual drop rate on the Vitality Hoof from Maniac Furycane is 40%, so it’s not a guaranteed drop. Still, the drop rate is not too bad, and you should be getting one every 2-4 attempts.

Once you’ve unlocked Mania Furycane, you can also purchase a Vitality Hoof from Siero for 5 Gold Badges. However, this is incredibly inefficient compared to just farming the Vitality Hoof from Maniac Furycane kills.
