How to get Blast Powder in Lego Fortnite

Some rootin’ tootin’ fun.

Blast Powder is one of the more unique items players can find in Lego Fortnite because of how players acquire it and what it’s used for. There are only about two places for players to look for Blast Powder in the survival crafting game, both of which come with a bit of challenge to them.

Where to get Blast Powder in Lego Fortnite

There are two main ways to find Blast Powder in Lego Fortnite: you either find it randomly in treasure chests or obtain it as loot from certain enemies. The former is a pretty tricky way to find Blast Powder, as you are not guaranteed to find the material in every chest you look in. As such, it is an unreliable method. You’re better off looting it off of specific enemies in two areas around your world.

Desert Biome

The first place to look for Blast Powder is in the Dry Valley desert biome. When you get here, your goal is to wait until it is nighttime, so I suggest building a campsite and bringing a friend or two along for the journey. Once night falls, you’re going to want to travel around looking for skeleton enemies in the area. The skeletons in the desert typically have cowboy hats on their heads or crossbows they use in battle.

These specific skeleton enemies often drop Blast Powder as a material when you defeat them. However, they are generally a bit more challenging to defeat than the usual skeletons you might find in the Grasslands.

Beaches

The second place to find Blast Powder is to head to the beaches in the world. Once you locate these oceanside areas, you will once again want to wait until it is nighttime. At this point, you can take on the various pirate skeletons that appear here. Like the desert skeletons, defeating them will often drop Blast Powder for you to pick up.

What to use Blast Powder for

Now that you finally have some Blast Powder on hand, it is now time to use it. The Blast Powder’s main use in Lego Fortnite is for crafting Dynamite. This powerful explosive item is a valuable and simpler way to take down tough foes in the world, such as the brutes. Here is the crafting recipe for making Dynamite in Lego Fortnite:

  • 1 Blast Powder
  • 3 Knotroot Rods

You only need a common crafting bench to make Dynamite, so this is an extremely useful item you can make pretty early on in your adventures.
