ESRB lists two handheld Star Wars Battlefront games

The ESRB let another cat out of a closely guarded bag. Kotaku recently found two handheld listings for Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron. Due for release on the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS(i), the games appear to capture the essence of the Battlefront games — “presented in a third-person perspective, the game allows players to engage in space, land, and air battles or build troops and upgrade armies in a strategy-based mode.”

The ESRB listing for the Nintendo DS version of the game mentions that players will “experience different battles from the Star Wars universe.” Awesome.

Sadly, we’re guessing that Crytek UK’s (Free Radical’s) sensational Battlefront footage from long ago was not created for the PSP and Nintendo DS. Still, though, a new Battlefront game is on the horizon. Get happy, already!
