Gears of War 2 ‘Dark Corners’ DLC now more affordable

The fans have spoken, and Epic has listened. The previously announced “Dark Corners” add-on for Gears of War 2 is going to be cheaper than we thought. Originally, the downloadable content was priced at $20, but IGN has since reported that isn’t the case any more.

Instead, “Dark Corners” will be only $15 at launch on July 28, because people like you and me complained. Considering the amount of content the DLC brings — one new campaign chapter and seven new multiplayer maps — I’d say it’s justifiable for the average Gears fan.

And what about the deluxe platinum extreme collection of all the Gears of War 2 DLC, the “All Fronts Collection”? Last we heard, the $20 bundle had a planned retail release. According to Epic’s Rod Fergusson, not any more it doesn’t! “All Fronts” will now be purchasable only from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, for the same crazy price. Yay?
