Judas certainly shows its BioShock DNA in latest trailer

All that glitters is not gold.

For people who like dystopian settings and first-person shooting, Judas certainly looks to carry the torch. Ken Levine’s Ghost Story Games showed off a new look at the game during today’s Sony State of Play, and its got one messed-up world waiting to be explored.

As the trailer asks, Judas will task the player with fixing what’s broken or leaving it all to burn. And hey, it wouldn’t be a BioShock-style game without a futuristic city falling to pieces.

What’s really impressive is some of the visuals they’re putting together for Judas at Ghost Story Games. The section where the hand gets assembled in real-time? Creepy, in a good way.

It’s hard to get too much of a feel for the gameplay here, outside general first-person shooting and some freaky powers. But all the style—glitter excess smashed against everything falling to pieces—certainly seems in place.

We’ll have to wait and see on more, because we still don’t have much of an idea on a release date. Judas is currently in development for PS5.
