Puma tips hat to Capcom with Mega Man-inspired trainers

Recommended Videos

Even if I had no idea who Mega Man was (heaven forbid), these shoes are pretty smoking hot. Spotted by GoNintendo at the Puma store, the style is called Lo Mega! Here’s how Puma describe their fashion homage to the classic game:

A fantastic material and color update inspired by Mega Man, a video game first released by Capcom in 1987. Whether you’re familiar with the character or not, this synthetic leather material looks and feels like vinyl, giving the upper a shiny, retro-futuristic look. The addition of the perforated underlays, painted eyelets, & video game inspired pixelated emboss on the toe bumper complete this awesome look.

These retail for $65 and fall directly into my personal category of “kind of freaking awesome”. I have no idea how to rock blue shoes though, so I’ll leave that task up to the hipsters of the world.
