Sony wants God of War: Chains of Olmpus developer to make another PSP title

Perhaps Ready at Dawn (God of War: Chains of Olympus, Daxter) wasn’t joking when they wrote, “Maybe we should reconsider this whole ‘no more [PlayStation Portable] games’ thing, because we seem to be pretty good at it” on their official blog back in December. It’s now apparent that Sony has been courting the developer in an attempt to get another title out of the lauded developer.

“Ready at Dawn is a fantastic developer, they did God of War: Chains of Olympus and Daxter,” Sony’s director of hardware marketing, John Koller told Kotaku. “The conversations with them continue. Don’t give up on Ready at Dawn yet.”

Despite their two PSP titles’ financial and critical successes, the developer shipped back all their development kits in June, citing that they were “done” with portable development.

Will Ready at Dawn take another project? We haven’t the slightest idea. However, with the recent reveal of several primetime titles for the PSP, it wouldn’t be a bad time to start getting serious about the platform again.
