Evil Dead fans are preparing to have their souls swallowed, as next week sees the launch of Saber Interactive gorefest Evil Dead: The Game. Unfortunately, while May 13 will see Ash Williams running riot in Evil Dead on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox, Nintendo Switch fans will still be left twiddling their Boomsticks.

Already delayed multiple times from its initial 2021 release date, Evil Dead: The Game is finally ready to bring its asymmetrical action to Deadite-mashers worldwide. But while most versions of the new title will be dropping this week, the official website now simply states that the Switch edition is “coming soon.” Hopefully, Saber Interactive will have fresh word of the port soon, and Nintendo fans can join in the chainsaw-revvin’ action.

Evil Dead: The Game will pit a team of players against a who’s who of Deadite monstrosity, risen from the horrifying pages of the Necronomicon. Franchise fans will be stoked to see characters pulled from all three movies in the original Evil Dead trilogy, as well as the popular TV series Ash vs. The Evil Dead. For those who wish not to play Little Goody Two-Shoes, a selection of demonic creatures will be available for your perusal, including Medievil monstrosity Evil Ash.

The action will play out in several locations pulled directly from the franchise, as both humans and monsters use uniques skills, special attacks, and a wide range of weaponry to bring victory to their respective team. Evil Dead: The Game already looks to be packed full of fan-pleasing characters, cameos, and references, so here’s hoping that the gameplay proves equally as compelling.

Evil Dead: The Game launches May 13 on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox. Yo, She-Bitch… Let’s Go.
