Fallout 76 bug

Fallout 76 is aiming for multiple bug fixes and quality of life upgrades

A Fallout 76 bug? Never

After all this time…wait how long has it been? Nearly three years coming up in October? OK, after almost three years, Bethesda has been working on getting Fallout 76 up to speed. The launch was a masterclass in how much damage a rushed game can do to a brand, but after a year and change, they added the bare minimum of NPCs and a bunch of other Fallout 76 bug fixes and quality of life changes. And they aren’t done yet.

In their latest blog update, the team explains that there is more to come by the end of the year for the game. Although Fallout Worlds was the big thing for 2021, those patches will focus on Fallout 76 bug fixes and quality of life upgrades. The first one is scheduled for “October,” and will bring a seasonal Halloween event in the mix, and “a new wave of bug fixes.” The other one is December-bound, and will include “new game content,” as well as “a variety of community-requested quality of life improvements.” The team says the first round of testing is coming in “early autumn,” at which point it’ll be up on the public test server (PTS).

Anyone wonder where this game will end up? And how long it’ll be in service? With Microsoft money backing it, they can be seen as the heroes who helped keep the game alive, as the brand is worth investing in for future blowout mainline games. Only time will tell. For now, I’m glad they didn’t abandon it, at least.
