Monster Hunter Rise will ship with three new amiibo

The toys live on

Right at the tail-end of the “Monster Hunter Direct” (with oddly followed up the Nintendo Direct Mini showcase today), Capcom gave the amiibo collectors what they want: the announcement of three new toys.

According to the publisher, Palamute, Magnamalo and a Palico amiibo (themed around the very blue hues of Rise) will debut with Monster Hunter Rise proper on Switch in 2021. Capcom says that the amiibo will provide armor for the players, as well as the chance to enter a “daily lottery” for items. The trailer states that “standalone amiibo” will be “GameStop exclusive” in the US and at EB Games in Canada. Wow, we’re back to square one with this again.

As always, here is a full running tally of every amiibo ever made. There are currently seven pending/unreleased amiibo on the way: Joker, Hero, Cat Mario, Cat Peach, Palamute, Magnamalo and Palico. Everything but the Rise trio are up for pre-order as of the time of publication.
