‘The graphics are good. Is that what you call ’em?’

One year after hearing the story of an 87-year-old grandma’s 3,580-hour save file for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, we’ve got a lovely update. Mayor Audie is still playing the 3DS game, but she has another obsession: Animal Crossing: New Horizons on her shiny new special-edition Nintendo Switch.

In a half-hour-long video posted this week by Paul Hubans, the internet’s favorite Animal Crossing grandma unboxes her New Horizons-themed Switch, starts the new game, and shares her impressions.

Asked about her most-anticipated feature, Audrey said she’d “like to jump over that ditch with the uh, what is that?” [Off-camera: “A vaulting pole.”] “Yeah, I’d like to try that. But I don’t think I’d make it, I’d probably fall in.” Another gem: “the only thing I don’t like is some of the animals get kind of sassy.”

This is the wholesome content we need right now. I’m watching it over lunch and I just feel better.
