This mod crosses Mario 64 with Banjo-Kazooie

Here’s a look at Spiral Mountain, Mario style

Mod fiend Kaze Emanuar is at it again, this time fusing two of the most beloved Nintendo 64 platformers of all time: Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie.

The mod actually transplants Mario himself and many of the enemies from his 64 iteration into the world of Banjo-Kazooie, and there’s even a walkthrough video for the first stage: Spiral Mountain. Kaze says they intend to port “every level from Banjo-Kazooie” and already has a plan for where every star in the game would fit, with 12 Jiggy pieces floating around in each world.

Kaze notes that a “new Mario 64 modding tool” is being utilized for a much smoother experience, which turns “months” of work into “1-2 weeks.” That said, they aren’t keen on giving any release windows for the mod as they have multiple projects underway, and are fully aware of the “lag,” framerate issues in the below video, which are expected to be smoothed over.
