In case you weren’t aware, Gearbox has been running the Vault Insider Program for Borderlands 3 for a while, which led into the release of the newest entry.

It’s a hub of sorts where you can log in and earn free stuff by linking your accounts together and unlocking items with points: well, it was, at least. Gearbox has just announced that they are ending the program, which will shut down on May 18, 2020 at exactly 11:59PM PT. The studio warns players to spend all of their VIP Points before that date because after that, they’re gone.

The end seems final: “Currently, we have nothing to announce regarding alternate methods for receiving VIP reward items in the future.” If you’ve never logged in before or need to clear out the rest of your points, check out this link right here. You can also find rewards, like new skins, heads and weapons, here.

These sorts of programs are relics in a way, much like the weird Resident Evil points hub: like extensions of those physical “Capcom Edge Points” you’d find on old PS1 discs.
