Game Atelier’s awesome platform adventure Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom will be arriving on PC via Steam and GOG next month. The pseudo-sequel to the classic Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap will be hitting the platform on July 25.

Already available on consoles, Monster Boy is an independent release that runs as a homage to the classic arcade-RPG series, and features hero Jin as the titular lead, who has the ability to shape-shift into six anthropomorphic forms, each with their own specific skillsets to help traverse the environment, sniff out secrets, and defeat enemies.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom launched back in December last year to critical and fan praise, and it’s great to see the game make the leap to the PC platform. If you’d like to check it out, then you’re in luck, as Game Atelier has just dropped a demo on Steam, so you can get a feel for the retro-platforming action.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom launches July 25 on PC. It is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
