Yeah, Zelda: Breath of the Wild could work as an SNES game

Lovely little world

Demakes fascinate me. It’s impossible to literally go back in time and supplant retro games with newer concepts, knowing what we know now. But I’m engrossed in the artistry of it: especially if the theoretical concept works, or even better: actually gets made into a real thing.

While this is only a proof of concept and a solitary piece of art, Twitter user Kaimatten managed to capture the splendor of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in SNES form. Although it looks a lot like a more detailed Link to the Past at first glance, you start to notice the little details, like Link’s new tunic and the ruins of Hyrule Castle in the background.
