Burnout Paradise demo about to get better, to support eight players

Recommended Videos

For those of you who didn’t bitch and moan with disappointment after playing the Burnout Paradise demo, here’s some great news.

Criterion has revealed that from January 4 to January 14, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 demos will support eight players in an online session. This doubles the number of online players currently supported in the demo (that’s four players, for those who don’t have a calculator handy). Additionally, 13 new “Freeburn” challenges will become available. Three of the challenges will be available in 5-7 player games, and four new challenges in eight player sessions.

While I’m not sure these changes and additions will change the minds of anyone who cried about God-knows-what after playing the demo, I don’t care. I’m still psyched about the game’s January 22 release.
