New Street Fighter IV screens: The warm trickle of info continues

Recommended Videos

Here are the latest screens of Street Fighter IV, the long awaited sequel to the sequel of possibly the most influential videogame of the 1990s. These screens come courtesy of the French, and unlike the screens previously posted by a certain Brazilian blogger, these probably were not stolen from Electronic Gaming Monthly. How did the Frenchies get these screens? Beats me. But these screens sure do look purty, and in my opinion have more polish than those we’ve seen thus far.

Regardless of whether this game turns out to be any good, I’m just excited that SFIV is even going to exist. I will again have the excuse to say things like “stick out a low forward poke and try to get him to counter” and “cancel your Hadouken and two-in-one it into a Shin Shoryuken for a 16 hit combo.” Nothing fills me with starry-eyed sentimentality more than now near-useless videogame specific vocabulary words.

Thanks to Buster for the tip.
