Things I would never think to do, issue number 5604: beat Super Mario 64 with a mouse. Not just any mouse, mind, but a Nintendo 64 mouse.

Critbox managed to get their hands on a rare N64 mouse, and they put Mario 64 to the test with it. Well, they passed the test (spoilers) as they managed to beat the thing with the peripheral, and you can check out the run below. It’s pretty crazy as you have to constantly roll the mouse to get Mario to move — it’s not a smooth pointing action.

The actual run starts at 1:20, and before that you can check out a quick explanation of the hardware itself.
