Are you invested in the Darksiders universe?

It was hard to type that with a straight face

Darksiders really took me by surprise back in 2010. It kind of just…came out compliments of the now-dead Vigil Games, some of whom moved on to various studios including Gunfire, who are working on the third entry. Though many call it Zelda-like in nature I really saw it as more of a Soul Reaver successor: even using the same heaven and hell dichotomy as part of its core narrative.

Its debut spawned many memes, many of which jab at the ridiculousness of the game’s world (a Four Horseman of the Apocalypse using a pistol to take down demons pretty much sums it up), but I was irreversibly drawn in. I deliberately chose a picture of a weird cat creature for the header image for this post to highlight how amazingly absurd this series is. It knows it has that edgy ’90s Venom/Spawn vibe locked down and runs with it. I can’t wait to see what Darksiders III brings to the table.

My question is simple: with the third game rapidly approaching later this month, are you invested? This is a simple “yes or no” poll with no wasteful joke “third answers.” You’re either in or you’re out. Warning: I used the “dark” theme for this poll to make it extra dingy.
