Fortnite’s ‘Playground Mode’ is still out of commission, more info coming later today

We can wait

Last week Epic Games was ready and rarin’ to unleash “Playground mode” out into the world in Fortnite, which not only brought private matches into the fray but a chill way to explore and build. It dropped in update 4.5, but was promptly pulled due to connection issues, as Epic didn’t want to keep the gametype in if it was spotty, instead opting to patch it up and re-release it when it was ready.

About that, they gave us an update. Over Twitter Epic plainly stated: “We’re still unable to resolve issues preventing the launch of the Playground LTM. We are holding the release until next week to continue hammering away this weekend. We’re sorry we haven’t been able to get you in the LTM, and we know waiting is the worst,” before clarifying that more info is coming on July 2.

Welp! Given that it’s still set to debut as a free mode I think waiting isn’t out of the question.
