Seriously though, Destructoid never reviewed Offworld Trading Company so here’s a mini-review. Designed by the lead designer of Sid Meier’s Civilization IV, Offworld Trading Company is an economic-based RTS with no direct combat outside of corporate sabotage. You compete over resources and buy/sell items on an ever-changing stock market with the goal of eventually buying out all of your competition. It’s one of the best RTS games I’ve ever played because it’s incredibly kinetic and I’m a corporate whore so being able to manipulate the stock market pleases me in ways I’d rather not get into.
Elsewhere in this bundle Sins of a Solar Empire is a great little space 4X. I’ve heard good things but can’t speak on Galactic Civilizations III‘s quality. The basic dollar tier is also great with The Political Machine 2016 because everyone wants to relive that travesty right? Well maybe this time you can make the right candidate win.
