Riptide GP: Renegade could scratch a Waverace itch on Switch

With a ‘cross play surprise’

Recommended Videos

Riptide GP: Renegade was released last year on PC, and gained a surprising amount of traction. Folks are hungry for arcade racing it seems after many storied franchises like Rush and Cruis’n are now closed for business, and you’ll be able to enjoy Riptide on a Nintendo platform very soon.

Developer Vector Unit has noted that it’s coming to Nintendo Switch and is currently ‘working its way through the pipes,” and will come with a “cross-play surprise” when it does. Given that Nintendo is open to cross-play with everyone (Sony is the only holdout), that’s pretty great news.

I’d love to see a future of gaming where everyone can play together regardless of platform, if something is non-exclusive of course.
