King of Fighters gets some free DLC with its 2.0 update this week

Two stages, more paid characters

Due out April 5, SNK is pushing its “2.0” update for King of Fighters XIV. Along with Rock Howard, Vanessa, Ryuji, and Whip (paid DLC) comes two free levels — City Circuit and Transcontinental Railroad. You can see them in the video below.

Compared to most fighters, SNK is doing right by its community with these hefty, free, and frequent updates. I mean, they kind of had to! They had to prove their worth to the community given the blowback against the art style — something that’s petered out in recent weeks as people focus in on the [good] game.
