Love too catch them, all of them!

Pokemon Go will let you catch Legendary Pokemon this year, according to a Wired Germany interview with Niantic CEO John Hanke. While someone accidentally ended up with an Articuno last year (Niantic quickly removed it from their roster), the augmented-reality Pokemon simulator has not, up to this point, truly allowed you to “catch ’em all.”

“I can safely say we’ll see more of it this year,” Hanke said of Legendary Pokemon becoming available for capture in the game. The Gold and Silver generation of monsters most recently became available, but the only Legendary monsters Hanke specifically name-checked are Mew, Mew-Two, and the first generation legendary birds, Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno.
