IO Interactive is developing a new IP

To run in Unreal Engine

Best known for the Hitman series, IO Interactive has also developed the Kane & Lynch series, as well as one-off titles like Freedom Fighters and Mini Ninjas. According to a new job posting, the studio is now looking for someone who has experience working in Unreal Engine.

After the success of Hitman Season One, it has been confirmed IO will make a second season. So, it appears the developer will be have to split duties to work on Hitman Season Two and this new title. Coming to associate IO with Hitman and to a lesser degree Kane & Lynch, I’m curious as to what it’ll come up with. Mini Ninjas was quite different from the rest of its lineup and surprisingly good, but it didn’t take off in popularity. I wonder if it’ll do something that drastically different again.
