During today’s Nintendo Direct, we got to take a look at the first new characters announced for the upcoming Super Smash Bros.Ultimate for Nintendo Switch.

Both Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl from Splatoon make their Smash debut, bringing their personal brand of colourful mayhem to battle. The Squid Kids form part of the new game’s insane roster, which features every single Smash contender to date.

The wall-staining trouble-makers can use their ink weapons to allow for higher damage on their opposition, and will be selectable in a whopping eight different designs, all with their own individual ink colours. Even Callie and Marie, the Squid Sisters, will appear on their Splatoon themed stage to lend a helping hand.
