Dippity dachshunds! First screens from 2K’s Don King Presents: Prizefighters

“Dippity dachshunds, frog wearing pit stop!”

So says boxing promoter Don King about these first screenshots from the upcoming 2K Sports boxer, Don King Presents: Prizefighters. Well of course Don King is going to say that they look “dippity dachshunds”; his name is attached to the game for Pete’s sake!

I’m going to say that while they certainly have that “next-gen” look (very sweaty and all), it’s going to be tough to top the visuals of Electronic Arts’ next-gen Fight Night effort. Of course, as long as the game plays wells, it doesn’t need those fancy jaw-dropping “frog wearing pit stop” visuals. If you know what I’m saying.

These screens are from the Xbox 360 version of the title, but Prizefighters will also come to the Nintendo DS and the Wii when it hits shelves this spring.

[Editor’s note: While this article originally implied that Prizefighters would be coming to the PlayStation 3 as well, this is not the case. The game is slated for the Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and Wii only. We regret the error. I’m sure somewhere, someone is crushed.]
