(Update) Hyrule Warriors Switch is still looking great, and we still don’t have a western release date

Maybe that will be part of the Nintendo Direct today

[Update: During today’s Nintendo Direct, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition was given a May 18 release date.]

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition launches in just a few weeks on Switch in Japan, but we still have that lovely “spring 2018” window in the US. That might change later today with Nintendo’s semi-surprise Direct presentation set to run at 5PM Eastern, but for now, we have a few videos of the updated port in action.

Said port, if you recall, will sport 1080p in TV mode, as well as multiplayer support on the go and on a TV. It’ll bring with it all previous DLC, including some great 3DS-exclusive content, and Breath of the Wild costumes for Link and Zelda.

I’m both hesitant and ecstatic to bury hours of my life in this joyous time sink again.
