VR adventure The Assembly looks promising, and it’s out real soon

Explore a morally questionable underground science facility

The Assembly is a first-person adventure about a secretive scientific organization that operates “outside the constraints of law and government,” and as a “long form,” narrative-driven virtual reality experience with exploration and puzzle-solving, it looks promising. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of it before.

This eight-minute overview video really drew me in with developer nDreams’ commentary (it’s so calming!), but if you’re pressed for time, there’s a more traditional story trailer as well.

The game is coming to PC on July 19, 2016 with Oculus Rift and Vive support. It will also be available later this year on PlayStation 4 following the launch of PlayStation VR in October.
