Star Trek: Bridge Crew is one Second Life-looking VR game

Beam me up, Ubi

Ubisoft is giving people the chance to re-enact one of their nerdiest fantasies with Star Trek: Bridge Crew. It’s coming to PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus. Red Storm Entertainment is making the game, who you may know as the co-developers of Far Cry 3 and 4 as well as The Division.

Wanna be a Captain? Engineer? I wanna be the weapons guy. Bridge Crew looks to be set in JJ Abrams’ universe (which is nebulously connected to the original, but I digress). The trailer shows Karl Urban, LeVar Burton, and Jeri Ryan gushing about it. I could be down for some cooperative space ship action, thought it does a look a bit like Second Life in space!
