XCOM 2 is indeed coming to consoles this year

In September

After 2K Games announced that XCOM 2 was a PC-only title some time ago, everyone collectively smirked, because they knew that one day it would reach consoles.

That day, according to the publisher this morning, is September 6, 2016. Priced at $59.99, it’ll arrive on Xbox One and PS4, with pre-orders netting a “Resistance Warrior Pack” for their efforts. If you spring for the “XCOM 2 Digital Deluxe Edition,” you’ll get all of the DLC in the form of the Season Pass, confusingly called the “Reinforcement Pack.”

If you’ve been waiting for all the bugs to be ironed out and some sort of GOTY edition to appear before you take the plunge, this could be the time. That’s me, basically!
