The chums at Kotaku have verified with two different sources that No Man’s Sky has been delayed from its planned June 21 release date. A GameStop employee provided a picture of the delay notification as proof, as they were instructed to put large “coming soon” stickers over the release date listed on posters for the game.

The outlet also claims it has heard the game won’t be released until at least July or August.

I’d rather have a delayed game than a game launched with bugs or missing features. I heard rumblings last E3 that there were still issues getting it to run on PlayStation 4, but one would imagine they have ironed out those problems in a year’s time. Perhaps they decided to delay the game until they can figure out how to market it and actually let people know what exactly it is, as I’ve watched tons of footage and I still don’t know.
