Minecraft is getting its own Loot Crate-esque monthly service

$29.99 a month

Mojang is finally getting into the curated monthly delivery business. It’s basically Loot Crate, in that subscribers sign up for a monthly box called a “Mine Chest,” which will run you $29.99. Right now it’s in its beta phase, and the first run will have an exclusive shirt, but other items will show up periodically like figures, recipes, and more.

I know a ton of kids who are going to beg for this thing, especially since the “crate” looks like the actual chest from the game. Also, holy shit — did you see how nice that house is in the announcement post header? Their target audience is loaded!
