Cave is working on a free-to-play shooter

One of my favorite things about visiting Japan this year was the arcades, as I’ve said in the past. I was pretty much in heaven in the shmup sections, with tons of classics to choose from with giant screens, including all manner of DoDonPachi. Cave is apparently working on a brand new iteration for mobile devices, called DoDonPachi IchimeBanchou — it’ll be free-to-play. It’s set to arrive early in Japan on December 14.

In other Cave news, it will announce its newest Steam release on December 26. After seeing how well Bug Princess translated over, I’m anxious!
