Goodbye zipper panties: Kiria wears pants in Genei Ibun Roku #FE

Nintendo censorship or Atlus revision?

Genei Ibun Roku #FE (formerly Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem) is close to its Japanese release (day after Christmas) so Nintendo has put up a new overview trailer looking at aspects of the game that I do not understand because it is in Japanese.

What I do understand, though, is that one of the playable characters, Kiria, has had her zipper panties and chaps idol ensemble (above) replaced with pants (below), as noted by Persona Central. It’s a weird change, especially given the more revealing costumes still present (see: straight bikinis at 4:20) and that it’s for the Japanese release. Maybe Nintendo wanted it a bit more family friendly.
