Today during the Heroes of the Storm 2.0 livestream as part of the opening day festivities, Blizzard announced a brand new upcoming hero –D.Va.

She’ll follow Genji, who launched today with 2.0, along with the 20 free hero promotion and the Hanamura map. Although her entire kit is still a mystery it was confirmed that she will operate as a warrior archetype (likely a bruiser), and that the Hanamura cinematic was a “hint” as to what her abilities entail. The Nexus Challenge will also return (starting today), offering up the Oni Genji and Orochi Cycle mount as well as an “Officer D.Va” skin and mount, on top of an Overwatch disc mount and multiple loot box promotions for both games.

I love how they’re doubling down on their most popular property in Overwatch. Blizzard also notes that the Heroes and Overwatch teams work closely together, so it adds more authenticity to the crossover.
