How much can you get done in your first 60 turns of a Civilization campaign? If you’re anything like me in Civ VI and are prone to oh-so-tempting barbarian distractions, not a whole heck of a lot.

Firaxis Games has a Windows-only Civilization VI demo on Steam, and it’s exactly that: 60 turns with which to get things started for China as Qin Shi Huang. Crucially, there’s also a tutorial. It won’t be entirely sufficient for all-new Civ players, but this installment is relatively approachable.

As tends to be the way, the full version of the game is currently discounted.
