Super Mario’s Question Block has come a long way

I remember my first encounter

Recommended Videos

One of my favorite gaming experiences is playing something completely blind. That’s just what I did for my first ever Super Mario playthrough on NES. While I played with my parents at my side, they didn’t really know a whole lot about games, much less Mario, so it was up to me to figure everything out. Instinctively, I remember hitting my first question mark block and getting that iconic mushroom, and how accomplished I felt.

This new video for Super Mario Maker brings back all those memories — I just hope it provides more than nostalgia in the end.
