Sony is preparing to raise PlayStation Plus subscription prices in the UK and Europe.

Currently, a one month membership runs £5.49, whereas three months go for £11.99. The company hasn’t yet announced what the new prices will be, but maintains the cost of an annual membership (£39.99) will remain unchanged.

“We are dedicated to bringing PlayStation Plus members the best possible service with the most compelling content,” reads the press release. “From September 1, 2015 we will be increasing the price of monthly and three-month PlayStation Plus subscriptions in line with market conditions.”

It’s currently unclear if Sony plans to gouge subscription prices in North America or Asia, but the company has already done so in a number of markets, including South Africa, Russia, and Turkey.
