Red Ash

Keiji Inafune is at Anime Expo, which starts today in LA, to make a “special announcement,” that “may interest Mega Man fans.” The Mega Man co-creator left Capcom and formed Comcept, which recently has worked on two Mega Man style games, Mighty No. 9 and Azure Striker Gunvolt.

While Inafune is working on newly announced ReCore for Xbox One (with Armature Studios), he and Comcept have another surprise in the form of Red Ash: The Indelible Legend, a collaboration with animation house Studio 4°C (Catherine).

The teaser uses the word “legend” a lot and Mega Man Legends is called Rockman Dash (Red Ash?) in Japan, hence speculation it is a Legends-like. Studio 4°C’s involvement is interesting, though, as the animation house has worked on games, tv shows, and films. We’ll hear more about this surprise soon enough.
