Luigi’s color came from graphical limitations

And other interesting facts

While it took Nintendo years to catch on to the fact, gamers have known for a long time that Luigi is the true lord and savior of gaming. He may play second fiddle to his brother, but we all prefer the slim, handsome scaredy cat over the tyrannical Mario.

If you’re looking to learn more about the one true plumber, Did You Know Gaming has just put up a video detailing some of the lesser-known facts about Luigi. Most of us could have guessed he was a palette swap in the arcade game, but did you know Luigi actually appeared in a Game & Watch title? That one caught me by surprise (I’m a huge Mario fan).

The video is loaded with a lot of interesting tidbits, so I’d recommend any fans of Luigi or Mario Bros. in general give it a watch.
