Niantic wants you to stop asking for new Pokemon Go stops and Gyms

‘Not accepting submissions’

Recommended Videos

Several days ago, Niantic asked you to report new locations for PokéStops and gyms, in case your area didn’t have them already. Well, stop that!

In a new help section that has popped up on its website (coinciding with the Japanese launch), Niantic notes that it is not currently accepting submissions, and that if you are having trouble finding them to “try visiting a local park or other interesting or historical locations in your community.”

Okay that sounds great, unless you don’t have those and didn’t play Ingress. I’m lucky enough to live in an active area, but godspeed to the rest of you who don’t. If you live in a super dense zone or don’t want your backyard to be a PokéStop or a gym, you can still request a removal here.

Reporting PokeStop or Gym Issues [Pokémon Go] Thanks Brad!
