Pachter: This holiday’s Wii hit will be Guitar Hero III

Recommended Videos

Well, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is officially out for topping the Wii holiday sales charts due to a delay. We just told you how IGN GamerMetrics thinks this holiday season will go for Nintendo’s console, but famed games industry analyst Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan has a different opinion.

“That’s the game that people who bought Wii for ‘Tennis’ will want,” Pachter said, speaking of Activision’s Guitar Hero III

Game|Life makes some great points to back this up. Guitar Hero III may be the only adult-oriented title out there this holiday season, and it follows the same “my controller is the ____” formula that made Wii Sports so popular.

So, what’s it going to be. Will it be the big first-party game Super Mario Galaxy like IGN GamerMetrics said, or will most Wii owners be looking to rock this Christmas? What will Wii-owning Destructoid readers be looking out for this holiday?
