A touching Iwata tribute is in Star Fox Zero

Short but sweet

Former Nintendo President Satoru Iwata may have passed on months ago, but his loss is still keenly felt in the gaming community. In that spirit, Nintendo put a touching nod to the man at the end of the Star Fox Zero. A small post-credit dedication reads “This game is dedicated to our wingman who fell in battle.”

You can watch the scene yourself in the video below. Be warned, the video is timed to the point of the tribute, but if you scan back you might spoil some of the end scenes of the game for yourself.

What a lovely gesture to a man many gamers felt a personal connection to. Here’s to you, Iwata.
