One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 pushes one million copies, sold worst in North America

Europe came close to Japan!

Recommended Videos

It’s pretty well known that there are a lot of European One Piece fans out there (which is why they got this EU-specific special edition), and now hard data from Bandai Namco supports that fact. According to the publisher, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 sold 380,000 units in Japan, Europe had 320,000, then Asia with 200,000, and North America with 100,000. In total, that tops one million copies sold.

I had a chance to speak to Tecmo Koei’s Hisashi Koinuma a while back and he also specifically reiterated the strong fanbase in Europe. In other words, you probably have nothing to fear in terms of localizations or delays in the future for this series.
