This fish is playing Pok?mon very slowly, and a lot of people are watching

So, just another day on Twitch

Twitch has a thing for playing Pokémon. Typically, it’s a crowdsourced game with tens of thousands of players all helping input controls. Some college kids recently scaled that back and are trying to accomplish the same thing with just a fish.

Grayson the fish is trying to play Pokémon Red, although there’s a good chance he doesn’t know it. With his bowl sectioned off into nine zones — eight of which host different controls — Grayson’s swimming around and trying to catch ’em all.

The stream’s description says that he’s 135 hours in (more by now), and he’s not exactly conquering the Elite Four anytime soon. However, he has managed to select Charmander as his starter and defeat Squirtle. Because even a fish knows that Charmander’s the best starter Pokémon.
